Kris Jenner was visibly moved as she gathered members of her family to reveal that she is preparing to undergo surgery after doctors found a tumour on her ovaries.
The matriarch had been enjoying a trip to Aspen with her partner Corey Gamble and her daughters Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian. On their last evening together, Kris felt it was time to share her troubling news over dinner.
"I wanted to tell you guys something because I hadn't told you yet, but you know, I went to the doctor and I had my scan," Kris disclosed, with the poignant scene captured on the most recent episode of The Kardashians. She continued: "They found, and this just makes me really emotional, but, they found a cyst and like a little tumour on my ovary.
"And so I went to the doctor and Dr A said that I've gotta have my ovaries taken out. I'm just really emotional about it because, you know, they came in handy with you guys." In a heartfelt confessional, as reported by reports the Mirror US, she shared: "I'm emotional about it because that's where all my kids were conceived and that's where they were grown, in my tummy. And so, this is a very sacred place to me."
During the meal, Kourtney Kardashian, who had stayed at home with her newborn son, phoned in. Khloé relayed to her: "Mom was just telling us something about her health. Do you want to hear it?" Seemingly concerned, Kourtney questioned: "Oh, yeah. I'm here with my four kids. Is that okay?" Kris then disclosed the news: "Yeah, I'm just getting a little bit of surgery because I have a tumour on my ovaries so they're gonna remove them."
Trying to remain positive, Kris encouraged herself by saying: "Listen, if I can get through the hip replacement, I can get through this." She also shared about the situation ahead of the procedure: "It's also a thing about getting older and it's a sign of like, we're done with this part of your life. It's a whole chapter that's just closed."
Kim expressed sympathy towards her mother, saying in her confessional: "To have a surgery and remove your ovaries is a really big deal. I feel really sad for her." She added: "I couldn't even imagine being in that situation and how you would feel really scared to be going through that."
Echoing the sentiment, Kourtney said on the show: "I totally understand how my mom is feeling because I would feel the same way." She continued, "It's like your womanly power. And it doesn't mean that it's like, taking away, you know, who she is or what she's experienced, but I would feel this like, sentimental feeling of what it's created."
