Porn star Jesse Jane's tragic past from 'biting ex' to arrest as she’s found dead at 43

Jesse Jane was found dead alongside her Brett Hasenmueller following a tragic suspected overdose on Wednesday.

Real name Cindy Howell, the adult film actress and her beau were discovered by police at her home in Moore, Oklahoma, following a welfare check by officers. Brett's employer hadn't heard from him in a few days, sparking concerned calls, per reports.

It's not known how long Jesse and Bret were in the house and a cause of death is not yet confirmed, but officers think their untimely deaths are as a result of a drug overdose. While an investigation is underway, here The Mirror looks back at Jesse's tragic past.

Biting boyfriend

Police were called to Jane's home back in 2020 after an alleged fight with her then-partner. She reportedly punched him in the face and bit his hand, TMZ reported at the time. Officers found the man on the driveway, according to the outlet.

They say the man couldn't open his blackened eye and appeared to have a bit mark on his left hand, reporting the pair had been drinking when Jesse became upset the next day, accusing him of using steroids and throwing away his medication.

After attempting to confront her, he claimed things got out of hand. Jesse told police the man 'grabbed her neck' and 'threw her into a wall'. The arrested noted she didn't have any visible injuries. He was booked on a domestic violence charge and later released.

Drunken arrest

It was back in 2018 that Jesse was charged with public intoxication after being found by police soaked in urine. Body camera footage showed the porn star unable to sit upright and unable to understand what officers were saying.

Video shows one officer saying: "She p**sed her pants. Do you want to search her?" Jesse replied: "I didn't do anything". Police tried to diffuse the situation, adding: : "No one is saying you did anything, we just need to know if we can call somebody. What number do we need to call for you?" She was taken to the station, claiming she was drugged.

Rapid rise to fame

Jesse shot to fame in the adult film world after starting her career with Digital Playground. Within months of signing a contract with the company, she appeared on Showtime's Family Business. The porn star featured in a number of adult films, including Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge, which is said to have had a budget of $8million (£6.2million). This makes it one of the most expensive porn films to have ever been made.

After Jesse's popularity shot up, she eventually moved over to Playboy. Here, she hosted a popular live show titled Night Calls as well as Playboy TV's Naughty Amateur Home Videos. Jesse was a huge name in the adult film world and hosted several award shows, including the AVN Awards and the XBIZ Awards. She also launched her own range of adult toys.

Away from the world of adult entertainment, Jesse made appearances in some huge blockbuster movies. She appeared in the crime drama Starsky & Hutch and had a guest role on Entourage. In 2009, Jesse took part in the CNBC documentary Porn: Business of Pleasure. The film showed what her life was like away from the cameras.
