William Douglas Bryant, known by friends and family as Bill, a beloved father, devoted Navy veteran, and dedicated Sunset Publishing Company employee for 34 years, peacefully passed away at the age of 90 on June 23, 2024.Bill was born on December 5, 1933 to William and Eunice Bryant and grew up in New York. He attended Carleton College and after graduating, enrolled in officer candidate school for the US Navy.Bill met his wife, Renate Bryant, in Kansas City, MO and were married for over 60 years. They eventually settled in San Jose, CA where they raised two sons, Christopher and Stephen.Bill is survived by his devoted sons, Christopher and Stephen, his grandchildren, Kevin, Mason, Hannah, Connor, and Dante, and sisters Sally Francis and Judy Kenower. A Celebration of Life will be held at Stephen Bryant’s residence in Gilroy on August 17 at 2:00pm.
