Maria Capella OBITUARY

Maria Conceicao Capella, 84, of Los Gatos, recently of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on June 21, 2024. She was born on May 26, 1940 in Madeira, Portugal to Daniel and Conceicao (nee Vieira) Gonsalves.When she was 16 she moved to Venezuela. She moved to the Bay Area in her early twenties. There she met the love of her life, Anthony Albert Capella. They were married May 17, 1964 until the time of his passing in 1996. They had 2 children, John & Daniel. She is survived by her sons, John Capella (Caroline) of Melbourne, FL, and Daniel Capella (Kristen) of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Joshua; 3 sisters; and many beloved extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Anthony “Tony” Capella.Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 9th at Five Wounds Portuguese National Church, 1375 E Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA 95116 beginning with a Rosary service at 10:30 AM followed by Mass. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln St, Santa Clara, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
