Loving mother of Michael (Rochelle), Tim, John (I-Ju), Maria (Rick), Josh, and Kate (Tim). Phenomenal grandmother of Wren, Sean, and Cora. Prolific maker of good trouble.Born in Galena, Illinois, jaki graduated from Galena High School and St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She worked in labor & delivery and operating rooms at hospitals in Chicago, Dallas, and San Diego. She was an active parishioner and served various pastoral and leadership roles at Church of the Transfiguration throughout the decades. She was also a proud member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.jaki loved genealogy, woodworking, rescue dogs (especially her spoiled pitbull, Tiva), music, and reading. Also chocolate. She really loved chocolate. We will forever miss her generous heart, humor, feisty spirit, and passionate advocacy for women’s rights and social justice.A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on July 20th at Church of the Transfiguration in San Jose. Dress colorfully. Memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart Community Service or Silicon Valley Pet Project.
