Daniel A. Padilla OBITUARY

Daniel A. Padilla, 94 years of age, passed away peacefully at his home on June 23, 2024.Daniel was born on December 13th, 1929 in Springer, New Mexico. He joined the Air Force in 1950, where he served in Japan, visited 130 countries (this includes Dan’s embellishment factor), and survived a plane crash. He retired in 1974. After the Air Force he joined the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in Campbell California for 16 years, where he befriended many of the customers on his route.He was married to Rita in 1956 until she passed away in 1985. They had 3 children. He is survived by his son, Brian Padilla and daughter, Jeanette King. Their daughter Leslie passed away in 1981. He then lived with his partner Stephanie Catanzaro for 37 years.He enjoyed visiting with friends and family and provided advice to everyone, requested or not. He loved to tell jokes and stories. He was a professional shopper and shoe collector, and loved classic movies. He will be missed by all.The Celebration of Life for Dan will be held at a future date.
