Did you pick out your Halloween pumpkin yet?
Autumn brings harvest festivities of all sorts, including pumpkin patches and corn mazes popping up in cities and towns across the Bay Area. ABC Tree Farms alone accounts for 19, but there are many more.
There’s still plenty of time to search for the perfect gourd this weekend while having fun with the kids at one of the many local pumpkin patches. Many offer giant slides, jump houses, corn mazes, train rides, petting zoos, pony rides, games and snacks.
Our photojournalists checked out a sampling of them around the Bay including the Speer Family Farms Pumpkin Patch in Alameda , Joan’s Farm & Pumpkin Patch in Livermore , Queens Pumpkin Patch in Saratoga , ABC Tree Farms and Pick of the Patch in San Lorenzo and the Shadelands Ranch Pumpkin Patch in Walnut Creek .
