Joe Biden was the most read-about candidate following the debate on Thursday night. Pre-debate, Donald Trump held that distinction, according to new statistics from Taboola.  

Nearly 20% of publisher pageviews on Thursday went to articles about the Presidential debate. And on Friday, nearly 50% of publisher pageviews were for election-related topics.  

The trending topics were the democratic party and potential replacements for President Biden, including Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom.  

Trump dominated pageviews after his conviction in May. The top three topics during that weekend were Trump, trial and hush money, ahead of Biden, NBA Playoffs and MLB, Taboola reported.
