Lehigh Valley Summer Boys Basketball League regular season ends; playoffs start Wednesday night

The regular season is over and the playoff field is set for the Lehigh Valley Boys Summer High School Basketball League.

The playoffs begin Wednesday night at Whitehall High School and nearby Whitehall Middle School.

At the high school’s Dick Tracy Court, the big-school quarterfinals on Wednesday will feature No. 3 seed and defending big-school champ Parkland taking on No. 6 Easton at 6 p.m. followed by No. 4 Liberty taking on No. 5 Nazareth at 7 p.m.

No. 1 seed Wilson West Lawn and No. 2 Executive Education will have byes and won’t be in action until Thursday night’s semis.

In the small-school division, Wednesday’s semifinals feature No. 2 seed Lehighton against No. 3 Salisbury at 6 p.m. at the middle school followed at 7 p.m. by No. 4 Catasauqua taking on No. 1 Warren Hills.

After taking Thursday off, the small-school finals will be held at the high school on Friday night at 6 p.m. followed by the big-school title game at 7.
