SOUTHWICK — South Longyard Road residents had three words for the Select Board at a meeting two days after the Saturday night brawl at the North Pond Conservation Area: “Shut it down.”

“The place should be shut down,” said Krista Pochron who was one of nearly dozen speakers at the Monday meeting who called for the entire North Pond Conservation Area to be closed because of what each described as an area, especially along the King’s Beach portion of the shoreline of North Pond, that has gotten out of control from visitors disregarding the rules over the last two years.
