Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy was rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard on Monday after he tried to take his mother to see the Nantucket coast on a malfunctioning boat, according to Portnoy.

Portnoy explained the situation in a two-minute video posted to his social media accounts. He told the story in third-person, referring to himself as “Captain Dave.”
