Prosecutors focused on Karen Read’s words ‘I hit him’; it wasn’t enough

During the closing arguments of the Karen Read murder trial, the prosecution wanted jurors to pay close attention to her statements as heard by witnesses in the case.

“‘I hit him, I hit him, I hit him, I hit him,’” Adam Lally, a Norfolk assistant district attorney, said at the start of his closing argument. “Those are the words of the defendant.”
