Shakira Latin Grammys: How many times has the Colombian won?

Shakira has left an indelible mark on the history of the Latin Grammys, establishing herself as one of the most decorated female singers and songwriters ever.

Over the course of her career, the Colombian star has won an impressive 13 awards, a number that could increase on Thursday.

Shakira's artistic versatility has enabled her to excel in several categories at the Latin Grammy Awards, demonstrating her prowess as both a performer and a songwriter, and she has been reaping the rewards since 2000, when she won her first trophies.

The high point of her success at the Latin Grammys came during the 2006 ceremony, a particularly remarkable year for Shakira.

At that time, the song "La tortura", a duet with her friend Alejandro Sanz, was at the top of the charts.

Her standout year was 2006, with Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year for La Tortura, featuring Alejandro Sanz, and Best Female Pop Vocal Album and Album Of The Year, for Oral Fixation Vol. 1.

She then won Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album, for El Dorado, in 2017, which was her last award.
