Cara Delevingne is still one of the most renounced names in the movie industry. At 31 years old, she has a bright future in front of her, but it's her past what is still a topic of conversation for the media, paparazzi and to be honest, for her as well.
Two years ago, she was walking through Los Angeles' Van Nuys Airport, barefoot and clearly under the influence of alcohol. The photos went viral and caused the actress to enter rehab. he says she's been sobered ever since. In a lengthy interview with Britain's Sandy Time newspaper, Delevingne reflected on what her journey to sobriety has been like since then as she celebrates her role in Cabaret in London's West End.
She admitted to getting drunk at his aunt's wedding when he was only 8 years old and admitted to the airport photos. "It was a stupid decision to go to work straight after the festival. I should have waited a day. But it still happened to me, there were many photos in which I was drunk," she said. "Listen, I signed up for this, this is my job, this is what I do. But would I be sober now without it? "I've never been Sally Bowles on the West End, I'm proud of that," Delevingne said.
What she has done has helped her with her family
He also revealed that he has begun to reevaluate her relationship with her mother, socialite Pandora Delevingne, and her struggle with addiction and her diagnosis of bipolar disorder. "I think the older I get, the more I see how similar my mother and I are. She managed to survive a lot. She's a smart whip," Delevingne said.
The interview also touched on another topic that has been a major part of Delevingne's media coverage over the years, her sexuality. Her parents, she said, simply assumed she was honest, something she believes is common in her generation.
"It's a generational issue. I don't think it was their fault at all. That's exactly how it was. I think a lot of parents thought, 'Oh, if I have a gay child, I've done something wrong,'" she shared inf a very mature matter. Hopefully she can stay in track.
