Cristiano Ronaldo took a sore one on international duty in the Nations League for Portugal, suffering a blow which left his face a sight for sore eyes.

In the 12th minute of Portugal's away game against the Czech Republic, he rose to challenge for the ball but collided with the home team's keeper's outstretched hands.

Tomas Vaclik had no malicious intent but the former Sevilla keeper gave Ronaldo a bloody nose which required treatment.

The Manchester United star had to be patched up with a cotton pad as he played on.

The veteran forward wasn't forced off the pitch, but checks after the game will be able to confirm whether any serious damage was done.

If it is revealed that he has in fact fractured his nose, that could put Ronaldo in doubt for the big game against Spain on Tuesday.
