Gregg Berhalter will no longer serve as the head coach of the United States men's national soccer team, according to sources speaking to FOX Sports. This decision comes just over a week after the team became the first Copa Am�rica host to be eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
Berhalter, who took the reins in 2018, was brought on board nearly 14 months after the U.S. failed to qualify for the World Cup that year. His leadership saw the national team return to the World Cup, advancing to the round of 16. His contract was renewed last June for the 2026 World Cup cycle by Matt Crocker, the federation's sporting director, who had assumed his role two months prior.
