David Benavidez is ramping up his efforts to pressure Saul "Canelo" Alvarez into accepting a fight. The American boxer seems increasingly desperate, trying every possible way to capture the attention of the Mexican champion and secure a bout in the ring.

Despite a brief stint in the light heavyweight division, Benavidez is once again focused on challenging Canelo, eager to prove that he is the superior fighter.

Recently, Benavidez took his campaign to a new level with his latest t-shirt collection. One particular design stands out, featuring Benavidez depicted with a rifle, hunting ducks with Canelo's face on them.

Benavidez's remarks

However, these antics may be backfiring. Instead of helping Benavidez secure the desired fight, they appear to be causing Canelo to ignore him even more.

Many in the boxing community have criticized Benavidez for his lack of respect towards the reigning champion, citing his extreme statements and those of his father, Jose Benavidez.

"It's a win-win fight, the boxing world wins, the fans win, and it's the fight we have to make [happen]," Benavidez said.

"If Canelo really thinks he's the best in the world, let him come beat me and shut my mouth. In the meantime, I'm going to keep contending here, and working hard. And I'm going to keep showing them why I'm the Mexican Monster."

Canelo, in turn, has begun to mock Benavidez. During his last fight against Jaime Munguia, Alvarez pointedly turned towards Benavidez's location and, with a mocking laugh, suggested that if Benavidez wanted to be at the top with him, he would need to prove himself. This incident further inflamed Benavidez's determination.
