Whether his fans and he himself want to accept it or not, Anthony Joshua is nearing the tail end of his career. His recent performances suggest he has a lot left in the tank, but he's soon to be 35 years old and has a good amount of wear on his tires.

As he gets older, Joshua is putting an eye on ways to spend his spare time. Joshua wants to help his fellow boxers, particularly the ones who have retired from the sport and are in need.

What is Ringside Charitable Trust, the boxing project Anthony Joshua wants to invest in?

It was recently revealed that Joshua is pining to help a charity, Ringside Charitable Trust, open a care home for retired boxers. According to the head of the foundation, they have "been in discussions with Anthony Joshua, and he's expressed an interest in collaborating".

This comes shortly after Joshua appeared on the Desert Island Discs podcast and spoke about the need for a retirement home for ex-boxers.

They suffer by themselves, so we've been speaking about opening up a care home. That would be part of my boxing legacy, that I give something back to the sport that made me.

It would be an outstanding act of kindness from Joshua. He knows the toll the sport takes on boxers' bodies, as he has experienced it firsthand.
