Before Stephen Curry came into the scene, two point guards were always in the conversation as the best in NBA history. They are Magic Johnson and John Stockton, who have been amongst the most prolific point guards in the league's history. The Lakers' legend won five NBA championships and basically saved a dying NBA through his historic rivalry against another great point guard, Larry Bird. Stockton didn't get to win a championship because he always had Michael Jordan in front of him to prevent that. However, Stockton is hte all-time assist leader and the all-time steals leader in NBA history. Those two stats alone should tell you how important he was for the game.

Steph Curry's insane trickshot that proves he's not human

Stephen Curry's stat surpasses Magic and Stockton combined

Stephen Curry is a different type of point guard, he is already considered the greatest shooter of all-time. The precision of his three-point aim is the stuff of legend, his ball handling is also on a different level. His 26 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on Thursday. A performance that made him reach 325 career games with 25+ points and 5+ assists in his entire career. For comparison, Magic and Stockton combined had only 280 games with 25+ points nad 5+ assists. Although both legendary point guards still surpass Steph in different areas, we suspect Curry will be above both of them in many more stat lines when he decides to retire from the game.

Last Thursday, we also enjoyed an unusual and unique date that will never happen again and it also happened to fit perfectly with the Golden State Warriors' big three. It was 11/30/23, which are the jersey numbers of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Golden State's marketing team saw the opportunity to honor these three and they took it. Considering how much the Warriors have been struggling to win games in recent weeks, winning another championship this season still seems far away at this point. However, the season is only getting started with about 20 games played for all teams. We are still a long way from the Playoffs.
