Q: What is your history at the park? A: I first started working at the park almost 30 years ago as a kid! I worked as a Supervisor in the Picnic Grove area and stayed until I went off to college. After working in the corporate world for 27 years, I retired and decided to come back to the park and work with the Security team, and have been here ever since. Q: What made you want to work at Six Flags New England? A: As a kid, I wanted to work at the park because all my friends said it was a great job and that we would have a lot of fun. I knew I would develop a strong work ethic and thought it would be a great first job. I love working with a team, and knowing that I can help develop young leaders is something I care deeply about. Q: What keeps you motivated every day? A: What keeps me motived is truly my positive mindset. I love inspiring the younger members of my team to keep going even when they are tired and feel like giving up. I remind them that if I can do it, and I'm almost 70, then they can do it too! Q: What is your favorite thing to do in the park? A: In the park, I love to appreciate the atmosphere and beauty that I see, particularly because I have seen it grow from when the Carroll family owned it to what it is today! Q: What is your go-to activity on your days off? A: On my days off, I love to hike with my German Shorthaired Pointer. We've done Mount Washington more than once and it is definitely the best mountain I've ever been up! Being in nature is something that I find tremendous enjoyment in, and I firmly believe in my mantra of hike, pray, meditate. Also, I played football in college and played minor league football, so being active very important to me. I also am an artist, and thought I would do that as my career before I went down a different path, so being artistic is also something I like to do when I am not working.

Today we are showcasing another Seasonal Leader in our Superhero Saturday spotlight! This program highlights the everyday superheroes that make our mission at Six Flags New England a reality! Today's Superhero is someone who brings their excitement for theme parks and coasters to work with them each day- Evan Grant, one of our Rides Supervisors! Evan was nominated for the encouragement, passion and support he brings to his team every day. He has a knowledge for rides that he enjoys spreading with those around him. Evan enjoys training and building his team up to be the best they can be, and brings a smile and positive attitude to work with him each day. Read below to learn more about Evan and why he is a Superhero at Six Flags New England! Q: What is your history at the park? A: I first started working at the park in 2022 as a 16-year-old Rides Team Member in D3 (the DC Area of the park). Shortly after starting, I became a trainer, getting new Team Members trained on various rides. In the middle of last summer, I became a Lead, and then started this year as a Supervisor in D2 (the North End of the park). Q: What made you want to work at Six Flags New England? A: Ever since I was about 3 years old, I have had this massive love for theme parks and a fascination for how they operate. I am a huge coaster nerd, so to be able to work in a theme park every day is a dream come true. Eventually, I would love to work Full-Time in some capacity of theme park operations, maybe even becoming a Park President one day! Q: What keeps you motivated every day? A: Providing a great guest experience is something that I pride myself on. It's important to me that as many rides as possible within my division are open as soon as the park is open, so guests can have the best ride product available as we can provide. I also love continuing to learn from the people around me, whether it's my own team or other departments. Because I was in the Carpentry shop at Westfield Technical Academy for high school, I love interacting with and learning from the Carpenters that come work on Thunderbolt. That is definitely a perk of the job! Q: What is your favorite thing to do in the park? A: In the park, of course, I love riding rides. My favorite coaster at SFNE is Wicked Cyclone! I also love theme park food and visiting all the events we have throughout the year like Food and Brew and Oktoberfest. Halloween and Fright Fest are also two of my favorite things, so I love seeing the fantastic work that the Shows Team puts into the haunted Attractions. At home, I even set up my own mini Haunted walk-through for the neighborhood kids each Halloween! Q: What is your go-to activity on your days off? A: On my days off, I truly enjoy traveling to other parks to ride their attractions. Some of my favorites are Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Great Escape where I rode The Bobcat earlier this year!
