Presidential Appointee. Passionate leader with over 15 Years’ experience in business, nonprofit and entrepreneurship, delivering results and empowering organizations to thrive.

I had a wonderful and productive week in Washington DC with U.S. Small Business Administration leadership at our Regional Administrator annual meeting. We learned, celebrated successes, identified opportunities for growth, and shared best practices and highlights across our regions. We discussed the impactful work being done in the field by the 68 district offices nationwide and how our teams are supporting small businesses during this historical business boom. With over 19 million applications processed under the Biden-Harris administration, we are meeting people where they are with our strategic goal of creating a more equitable economy and providing economic opportunities for underserved communities by offering access to capital, consulting, federal government contracting, and disaster recovery programs. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this amazing nation by doing what I love the most: helping small businesses, the backbone of our economy. Additionally, I had the pleasure of joining my National Association for Latino Community Asset Builders familia at their National Conference, where I presented as a speaker at their plenaries and reconnected with many friends, long-term colleagues, and Latinx leaders in our country. I also attended the 37th Hispanic Heritage Awards, which featured an inspirational program and a performance by one of my favorite bands, Los Angeles Azules, along with the incredible voice of Ximena Sariñana. #SBA #SmallBusiness #EconomicGrowth #Equity #NALCAB #HispanicHeritageAwards

  • Do you want to expand your business into the government contracting space? Do you have a contracting business struggling to get to the next level? Alaska APEX Accelerator formerly the Alaska PTAC serves as the axis for existing and new businesses to strengthen the defense industrial base by accelerating innovation, fostering ingenuity, and establishing resilient and diverse supply chains. The Alaska Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) programs shifted administration from Defense Logistics Agency to the DOD Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) and with this shift came a new name of the Alaska APEX Accelerator. While there is no shift in the technical assistance delivered by the programs, it does create an alignment with goals of the DOD OSBP. The DOD program vision is to build and enhance a diverse and resilient domestic industrial base that can deliver preeminent solutions to the military and other government users. APEX and its centers are a critical component of the government’s small business strategy. Goals include: • Growing the Defense Industrial Base and Government Industrial Base Strengthening the Supply Chain •Increasing Diversity and Inclusion •Facilitating Cyber Security Compliance and Training •Providing Foreign Ownership, Control, and Inclusion (FOCI) Awareness Trainings The Alaska APEX will continue to offer the technical assistance we always have and will continue with the same personnel you know today. That will not change. What has changed is the mission of the program. It’s been expanded to provide additional support to DOD’s industry partners and strengthen the defense industrial base. The DOD Office of Small Business Programs offers many resources for working with the DOD. For more information: This APEX Accelerator is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
