We kicked off with inspiring pitches from passionate teams driving the energy transition in #Switzerland. Our amazing jury from academia, industry, and the public sector — Francesca Cellina, Ulrike Trachte, Rafael Mesey, Annamaria Mosetto — thank you for your commitment over the past 4 years, #awarded 9 teams with #20k each to advance their innovative solutions. #Winning project teams (in the order in which they presented): - Decarbonize digitalization: Circular economy meets building automation with Hanmin Cai, Benjamin Sawicki - ReMeF-tuning with Michel Haller, Miren Agote Arán - Compact and sustainable cold storage with Glycerol with Rebecca Ravotti, Anabel Palacios, Oliver Fellmann - Solarstream - The Software Interface for Swiss Solar Installer with Manuel Ganter, Christian Bertschy -Power Grid Optimization on distribution level and forecasting of load and congestions with Dr. Christian Dollfus, Carina Holzapfel - Windworks with Daniel Fernex, Sébastien le Fouest, Matt Taylor - Sustain Scalable and efficient monitoring of geothermal and underground energy storage with Edoardo Pezzulli, Genevieve Savard, Michael Liem, Sebastien Debuis -E^3 ESYLab for Energy Education with Ioan Balin, Andres Jimenez, Elisa Dahmann, Irina Gaber, Kilian Belaire, Luc Deladoey -FlexEVility with Florian Kühlkamp, Olena Levon, Severin Nowak We also heard from past funded projects — thank you to Planeto – Stefano Cozza, Solskin by Zurich Soft Robotics , Vesna Kosoricć and VIA AG, Joe Babiec for sharing your journeys! Then, Prof. Vasilis Kostakis delivered an inspiring talk on “The #Energy #Commons: Envisioning a Just and Sustainable Future,” challenging us to explore #radical, community-based #innovation. Emile Dupont from Innosuisse gave us a look at their mission with some facts and figures. Last, Ludger Josef Fischer, our Energy Lab coordinator, reflected on the journey of the Energy Lab, highlighting how a motivated team from various institutions has collaborated over the last four years.
