Pixar's storytelling framework has helped them earn over $15 billion at the box office. Thanks to two key elements: Simplicity and conflict. A simple idea, like "Toy Story" (toys fearing abandonment) or "Finding Nemo" (a sheltered fish seeks adventure but gets lost) allows audiences to quickly connect. The simpler the message is, the better. But, There is NO STORY WITHOUT CONFLICT. - Every great story has challenges. - What obstacles do your characters face? - This tension keeps your audience hooked. How can YOU apply this? 1. Start with a clear idea. 2. Build tension through conflict. 3. Share the good, the bad, and the ugly in your story. Give your audience a reason to care, and they will build an emotional connection to your narrative. Karla E. Not Your Story
