Baiduri Bank Group represent at this years Initiate Human Capital Summit 2024 . Our Organisation Development and Learning Lead ,Azeem Kamarulzaman and our Talent Lead, Florance Han contributed to the event as presenters. Our HR Digital Systems and Projects Officer , Noramira Imanina Mohd Asri and I were proud to be part of the Summit as well. The overall takeaway for me from the event was mainly on focusing on sustainable people centric solutions in any organization and that means looking at our governance that support the dynamic lifestyles of our employees. Call to action includes revisiting employee value propositions and reevaluating its level of inclusivity. Inclusive leadership begs the question “are we really listening to our people?”It also means making bold decisions and taking one actionable step we can take to lead with boldness and empathy. This as many more lessons and it just means we have a long road ahead. Are we ready for it ?

Just wrapped up an insightful experience at the Progresif INITIATE HR Summit 2024, and I wanted to share some thoughts that really resonated with me. For our session, with me were Michael Jenkins and Evelyn Kwek. Moderated by Lim Zuo Han, we tackled a big question: Can talent development ever truly be one-size-fits-all? What became clear is that while every organization has its goals, the real magic happens when we tailor our approaches to fit the unique strengths and needs of each person on our team. For me, it all boils down to this: our internal teams are our most important customers. When we genuinely care for and invest in them, they, in turn, take care of our organization and deliver amazing service to our external customers and stakeholders. What made this experience even more special was connecting with professionals from various industries. Honestly, some of the best insights were shared during the coffee breaks—those moments of real, tacit knowledge exchange that you can only get in person!

Alhamdulillah, I had the privilege of speaking at this year’s INITIATE Human Capital Summit. It was a remarkable experience and a significant milestone in my career! Key takeaways from the two days include the crucial role leaders play in shaping organisational culture and how a healthy culture is essential for retaining talent - May Leng Kwok shared the 3 important elements: inclusive leadership, psychological safety and holistic health. A simple yet powerful reminder from Nora A Manaf was to “take care of yourself.” It’s true—you can only be your best and give your best when your cup is full! Congratulations to Yazdi Yahya, Chartered MCIPD , for organising a successful summit! ✨I’m excited for the next one. Thanks also to Salehin Basir, Chartered FCIPD and the rest of the HCD team—Nisa Masir, MCIPD , Amal, Azma, Zuh, Naimah, and Amy—for all their support. It was also nice to be able to reconnect and make new connections! 💯Well done to all the speakers, it was truly inspiring to see the community thriving!

Wrapping up an impactful two-days at the INITIATE Human Capital Summit in Brunei. Just back from my second trip to Brunei - and this time was even better than the last! 🇧🇳 As the Knowledge Partner of this year's INITIATE Human Capital Summit, our team had the privilege of engaging with over a hundred HR and L&D professionals over the week. Through our conversations I could feel their passion and dedication to uplifting the HR landscape, which was really commendable. 👏 It was great to see lots of familiar faces at the conference as well. Beyond the insightful discussions, I was once again reminded of the warm hospitality and kindness of Bruneians.
