This story from Andrew Groth, Executive Vice President, Infosys APAC exemplifies a culture of creating opportunities to train and support diverse communities. We hope, this inspires leadership across organizations to take that first step towards creating an impact with purpose. #InfosysAusNZ #DEI #Purpose
Aligning personal and societal purpose at Infy At Infosys, purpose isn’t just a concept – it’s a way of life. Personally, the fusion of my own purpose with Infosys’ mission, dedicated to amplifying human potential and creating the next opportunity for people, businesses and communities, has been deeply inspiring. One such instance that exemplifies this alignment is when I mentored a participant in the #IamtheFuture program for developing women leaders. Through my 14+ years here, I’ve encountered various aspects of purpose, but some have resonated with me more deeply than others. In this case, the participant was dealing with challenging health and personal struggles. Being able to support her during this time was truly meaningful. At a company event, she shared how I had made a difference in both her leadership journey and personal growth, something that will always stand out to me as a career highlight. But while personal fulfilment is compelling due to one-on-one experiences, the broader impact of many-to-many interactions holds a special significance for me. Anchored by the goal of creating impact, Infosys, as the world’s largest corporate university, has significantly amplified the potential of employees and clients through educational platforms like Wingspan and Springboard. Extending these AI-enabled tools to the broader student community presents the next opportunity to amplify human potential. Recently, we did this in Australia when we tied up with the University of Technology, Sydney to support The Galuwa Program - an initiative for indigenous youth that aims to bridge the gap to university education in science and engineering for students in grades 10-12. This partnership allowed 35 students access to our Living Labs, serving as hubs for career aspiration. Here, students experience a blend of digital technologies and human interaction. By exposing them to various career possibilities, we aim to inspire these students to set and pursue ambitious goals. We have always had a focus on larger societal structural issues and hope this program will be just the beginning of fixing the educational gap in Australia. This commitment to societal impact is at the core of our purpose, driving us to continuously seek opportunities to make a positive difference in this world. I know there are many others who have interesting stories to share about Infosys. If you do, please let me know in the comments below. #TheInfyWay #ForwardWithInfosys #NavigateYourNext
