Hey 🙋♂️🙋♀️! Do you know the question we get asked a lot lately 👀? Where did ERTMS/ETCS Level 3 go ❓ So here's the answer 👇 🔸 ERTMS/ETCS Level 3🔸 has been merged into ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 with the CCS TSI 2023. Therefore, it is no longer used as a differentiator for specific functionalities, like fixed virtual block / moving block with assurance of train integrity and location within the ERTMS/ETCS solution. 🚦Our factsheet covers all the details so head here 👉 chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://lnkd.in/e24Q84n6 📩 Get in touch with us at [email protected] #ERTMS #ETCS #ATO #deployment #Innotrans24 #signalling

What a week InnoTrans! Day 3 kicked off with our #UNIFE ERTMS dialogue forum on driving efficiency and performance in rail systems with two panels. My key take aways: ⏰ It’s time for a fresh look at the European business case for ERTMS to assure it is mirroring the current status quo of implementation and see if there is need for action We are in the midst of of the migration from conventional signaling to ETCS in most countries - key challenge now is to keep a cost-benefit analysis in mind when looking at the details and defining the migration concept - to assure we can keep the pace of migration progress and invest the resources most efficiently as Gemma Salazar Luque pointed out. Matthias Ruete shared that there will be a European meeting of the responsible for the countries’ national implementation plans next month to assure a coordinated transition 🔆 Highlights of the innovations panel were some insights on implementation of hybrid train detection (without wayside signals) and ATO over ETCS getting real by Vladimír Kampík Oliver Bancel and Paola Vallini and an innovative SIG architecture running on commercial of the shelf hardware (SIL4) shared by Sonja Steffens . ❓Is a 25y lifetime still up-to-date in todays quickly changing world? Loved the input from Finrail about their approach for the ERTMS rollout to question “givens” in the ERTMS world to find the best solution. And special Thanks go out to everybody on the journey to make this real Victoria Campos Klaus Mindel Martin Votava Juan Santos Escolano Richard Catterson
