About us
Job Corps is the nation’s largest residential career training program and has been operating for more than 50 years. The program helps eligible young people ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers and assists them with obtaining employment. Job Corps has trained and educated over 2 million individuals since 1964. At Job Corps, students have access to room and board while they learn skills in specific training areas for up to three years. In addition to helping students complete their education, obtain career technical skills and gain employment, Job Corps also provides transitional support services, such as help finding employment, housing, childcare and transportation. Job Corps graduates either enter the workforce or an apprenticeship, go on to higher education, or join the military. Learn more at www.JobCorps.gov.

We’re still basking in our pride for the student leaders from each campus who attended the recent Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. Job Corps student leaders shared experiences and collaborated on behalf of their campuses. They walked away with ideas to bring back to their campus, unique perspective and new friendships. And of course, there was cake! 🎂

In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Job Corps can report that all our students are safe and housed. Many centers have lost power and phone service, but municipalities are working diligently to restore services as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we wanted to reassure all parents, guardians and loved ones that their students are safe and accounted for. Job Corps' first priority remains the health and safety of our students.

Red Rock Job Corps welcomed back one of their own Automotive and Machine Repair alumni, Christian, who shared his journey and insights with current students. While at Job Corps, Christian gained hands-on experience through work-based learning at Wellsboro Automotive and secured a position as a basic mechanic at Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships after graduation. Christian is now embarking on a new career chapter as a water technician with Keystone Clearwater Solutions. Congratulations, Christian! Thank you for inspiring and motivating our students.

“The Forestry Conservation and Firefighting curriculum is advanced and broad. Community engagement and working with the national forest is important because I can reach out and say, ‘Look, I have this workforce that wants to learn and do hands-on work on your project.’ You network and help each other with projects, and that way you find the best teachers for the students.” – Wade Kelly, Forestry Conservation and Firefighting Instructor at Cass #JobCorps Civilian Conservation Center Students recently joined forces with the USDA Forest Service and United States Government Fish & Wildlife Service to construct a bat cave barricade to safeguard the bat population in the Ozark St. Francis National Forest. Work with us, so our students can work with you. #Partnerships begin here.
