🌍 Our recent research report, "Making Sustainability Sustainable", suggests that many companies within the consumer goods, food and retail sector are contemplating major changes to their corporate structures and operations. The goal? To stay under reporting thresholds and avoid jurisdictions with the most stringent regulatory standards. While these moves may offer short-term relief, there are significant long-term risks: - 57% of leaders fear these strategies could dilute their sustainability efforts. - 66% express concerns about greater regulatory uncertainty and compliance challenges. In Episode 3 of this video series, Nicholas Rock and Kelly Sporn discuss how decentralizing operations could increase the complexity of reporting and create inefficiencies in compliance. With so much at stake, businesses need to strike a delicate balance between regulatory avoidance and maintaining progress on sustainability and governance goals.
