It is a pleasure to be giving a welcome at the #ApprenticeshipTexas conference. As we work closely with our Workforce Solutions boards, there are several programs to enhance partnerships and benefit the trades and Apprenticeship programs. Since our first grant in 2016, Texas has received $42.6 million in “Apprenticeship Expansion Funding” from the Department of Labor. We have developed 123 “Registered Apprenticeship Programs” and funded 11,452 Registered Apprentices. I am proud to say that we have over 33,000 apprentices and 907 registered apprenticeship programs in Texas. Our apprenticeship programs are successful thanks to our fabulous apprenticeship team. I want to recognize and thank our Texas Workforce Commission team for their dedication to this program. #TrevinoAcrossTx #ApprenticeshipTexas
