Helping patients and clinicians embrace every aspect of chronic pain management
About us
BIOTRONIK Neuro is a division of BIOTRONIK, a leading medical device company that has been improving the lives of patients with heart and blood vessel diseases for decades. At BIOTRONIK Neuro, we’re ready to redefine relief for patients experiencing chronic pain. Leveraging BIOTRONIK’s advanced cardiovascular technologies, BIOTRONIK Neuro has created a new approach to SCS therapy management: one that’s not just implanted, but truly connected to the needs of patients and providers. With a first-of-its-kind proactive care† ecosystem, proprietary RESONANCE stimulation paradigm, and a lifetime of patient support, BIOTRONIK Neuro is ready to optimize the SCS experience daily, and over the lifetime of patient therapy. †Proactive Care: BIOTRONIK Neuro’s remote support team may reach out to patients to ensure proper usage of the spinal cord stimulator based on remotely monitored data. BIOTRONIK Neuro does not provide health advice or clinical actions outside the scope of spinal cord stimulator proper usage. This product support is not a replacement for the patient’s responsibility to communicate any medical questions or concerns with the physician’s office.

A study published by the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians finds that up to 19% of spinal cord stimulation patients are quickly lost to follow-up after implantation. BIOTRONIK Neuro is working to change that by offering BioVantage™, an optional service that includes monthly remote follow-ups that make it easy to ensure patients stay engaged with their treatment goals over time. ➡️Read the full article in Pain Physician: https://ow.ly/WYKY50TJQOu BioVantage is an elective, paid subscription offering to healthcare providers from BIOTRONIK Neuro, Inc. A new study in Pain Physician highlights the potential benefits of remote therapeutic monitoring in pain management.
I implanted a spinal cord stimulator (SCS), and the person did not return to clinic. Am I missing something here? Via their cross-sectional study, co-first authors Kyle Kang, Mike Glicksman, Johnson Ho, Kevin Hoang, M.D. and Anh T. Phung, MD, Sravya M, Jamal Hasoon, Cyrus Yazdi M.D., Alexandra Fonseca, MD, Alan Kaye, Michael Schatman, and Jatinder Gill delve into the reasons for why patients do not return to the clinic after an SCS has been implanted. https://lnkd.in/eVr2qRq5 One potential solution to this problem of lost to follow up is remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM). Will RTM be the next big advancement in pain management or will constant updates inundate the clinician? Only time (and research) will tell. Keep an eye out for more on RTM. Thank you, Dr. Thomas Simopoulos, M.D., for your dedication to the neuromodulation field, inspiring the next generation of neuromodulation nerds 🤓 , and making this study happen.
