Sunday R.A.F.T. (Reuniting America by Fostering Trust) for America and Whitewater Challengers in Weatherly held a rafting event.

The event was held to help demonstrate that Americans are all in the same boat together regardless of their differences and political viewpoints.

State Senator Dave Argall (R) of the 29th District also participated in the event to promote collaboration between fellow politicians to move the state forward.

“Understand in the Pennsylvania General Assembly the only way to turn an idea into a law is by working together. We have a republican majority in the Senate, we have a Democratic Majority in the house and we have a democratic Governor. So that requires some level at least of bipartisan collaboration," Argall added.

Ken Powley, the Executive Director of R.A.F.T. for America, says that these events help foster a sense of community and collaboration across the country.

“People feel that America is becoming more divided, not less divided, but 79 percent of us according to recent polling are really tired of the division and will participate if there were a way to reduce polarization. We’re creating messaging that says what unites us is so much more powerful than what divides us,” Powley said.

R.A.F.T. America will be hosting multiple other events in the upcoming months to continue to unite people regardless of their viewpoints.
