Research Corporation for Science Advancement has long strived to advance the scientific enterprise by creating and fostering networks of faculty in chemistry, physics, astronomy, and overlapping fields, and by providing opportunities for these scientists to share ideas on research and teaching. We believe that broad representation around the table, and a spirit of openness that encourages new directions and collaborations, are essential. This report highlights advances RCSA has made in broadening participation in our programs, including two new efforts in 2023: the Robert Holland Jr. Award and the RCSA Fellows initiative.

National Search Begins for RCSA's Next President

RCSA’s President & CEO Daniel Linzer has announced his intention to retire from his role in 2025, and a national search to find a new RCSA leader has been launched. RCSA is partnering with global executive leadership firm Spencer Stuart on this search, and they have created this position description describing the role and what experience and qualities the strongest candidates should possess. They have also created a dedicated confidential email address to accept ideas, nominations, and applications. RCSA welcomes our community to use this email to share thoughts, ideas, and nominations to help ensure a robust group of candidates to consider.
