Small UI changes can make big impacts for users. HubSpot's custom-coded actions in workflows opened up endless possibilities for automation. But they also created confusion. It's impossible to tell what the action does at a glance and if you aren't a technical user, you may not be able to tell by reading the code. But, as of last week, CCA workflow actions now have a description field that displays in the CCA action card in the workflow UI! Brian Serocke brought this to my attention, and I should honestly hand over my social media management to him, because I'm constantly stealing his Slack messages for posts. This small change will save our service team hours in documenting, explaining (and re-explaining) CCA builds to clients, not to mention making handoffs between internal teams easier. #userexperience #customdevelopment #marketingautomation #hubspottipsandtricks
