Residents of Hudson can soon find great orthopedic care – right in their own backyard. TRIA currently provides renowned orthopedic care across many Twin Cities metro locations. But on June 24, TRIA Orthopedics will be opening at the Hudson Hospital & Clinic campus.

TRIA is for everyone

Many athletes of all skill levels go to TRIA for their care, and TRIA is even the official sponsor of the Minnesota Wild. But TRIA isn’t just for athletes: patients of any age can benefit from orthopedic care to get moving and feeling good again.

Whether the goal is to get in and out of a chair easier, walk your dog a mile down the block without pain, play with grandkids or solve your joint pain, TRIA is here to help everyone.

Bringing great care to the community

TRIA Clinic Manager Kevin Klementz, RN, is thrilled about what TRIA Orthopedics will bring to his community.

He shares, “I’m a Hudson resident for the last 18 years. Bringing TRIA to this area has kind of been on a wish list of mine for many, many years. I think the community has been asking for it for a while.”

A one-stop shop for care

As to the reason for his excitement, Kevin speaks about how Hudson residents and families will now be able to get all the care they need at one medical campus. He reflects, “We provide remarkable care at TRIA, but we do it as part of the head-to-toe care that we provide as a full health care system with HealthPartners.”

Indeed, as one connected care system, HealthPartners provides patients with access to esteemed hospitals, clinics and specialty centers across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. Just at the Hudson Hospital & Clinic campus alone, patients have access to the hospital, a birth center, an emergency center, a newly expanded primary care clinic and over a dozen specialty services – and now, TRIA Orthopedics. Kevin continues, “We now have, if you will, a one-stop shop for patients in the valley.”

A full recovery, all in one place

In terms of orthopedic care, Kevin shares an example of how this can help people. He says, “If a patient has an orthopedic injury, they can come into the emergency department. Then they can refer you to our TRIA location on the same campus, who can then help you with rehab or PT. And if need be, you can have your surgery in the same building, too.”

Your health record, made simple

TRIA Rehab Manager Kim Peters, PT, MHA, is also a passionate member of the Hudson community. She’s been a resident herself for 19 years. Kim echoes Kevin’s enthusiasm about how being part of one system helps make things easy for patients. She shares, “TRIA Orthopedics will provide excellent, seamless care to patients seeking orthopedic expertise with one common electronic record [shared] with many of our other services at the Hudson location. So, you can come in with the fracture, and you can literally stay under the same roof for all your care.”

Treated by TRIA

For those new to TRIA Orthopedics, there’s much for residents to be excited about. TRIA is known nationwide to provide top orthopedic care. The team will identify, diagnose and treat your injury or condition so you can get back to moving and feeling good again.

Here are some of the services that will be available:

  • Physical therapy is the best place to start to strengthen your muscles, relieve pressure and improve mobility.
  • Sports medicine focuses on getting people back to their best physical activity level.
  • Spine care offers a full spectrum of treatments with a special focus on treating spinal conditions without surgery.
  • Joint care specialists can treat the most complex joint conditions with both nonsurgical and surgical options.
  • Orthopedic surgery can help improve quality of life when nonsurgical options are not providing relief.

Injuries and conditions

TRIA’s orthopedic sports medicine specialists care for a wide range of conditions that affect the muscles, bones, tendons and ligaments. Common orthopedic conditions they treat include:

  • Arthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Dislocations
  • Fractures
  • Foot and ankle pain
  • Hand and wrist pain
  • Joint pain
  • Ligament injuries, like ACL tears
  • Neck and back pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Tendonitis

An excited community

Kevin doesn’t need to look far from home to find a fellow Hudson resident who is excited to visit the new TRIA Orthopedic location soon. He tells us, “My older neighbor across the street, Larry, can’t wait to not have to drive to our Woodbury location because he’ll be coming to Hudson now. He told me he just wants to go down the street where he sees his regular doctor to look after his recent knee replacement. He’s the best neighbor.”

Kevin thinks his conversation with Larry reflects how many Hudson residents are feeling: excited about being able to get great orthopedic care, right in their own neighborhood.
