Are you one of the thousands of people that's decided to start off the new year by partaking in Dry January? A trend that’s grown more and more each year — in fact, 2023 showed growth of 217% compared to Dry January 2022. That’s likely thanks to the emergence of so many brands in and around the non-alcoholic space making it easier than ever to stick to the goal.

OLIPOP, a leader in the functional soda category, has decided to be part of Dry January in a big way by kicking off the new year with “Mocktails in Minutes,” a service available every Friday to Sunday throughout the month of January in collaboration with Instacart.

"January can often feel like a bit of a comedown after the holiday festivities, and at OLIPOP, we're on a mission to redefine the month with a little more joy,” says Steven Vigilante, Director of Growth + Partnerships at OLIPOP. “Based on an insight from our consumers, we’ve noticed a significant number of them choose OLIPOP as an non-alcoholic substitute. We’ve tracked well over 1,000 social media posts of consumers ‘romanticizing OLIPOP’ in wine or cocktail glasses in the last 12 months, and thought it would be fun to lean into the trend for Dry January.”

Research shows that a large number of people abandon their Dry January goals just after 10 days, so OLIPOP decided to come up with a way to make it easy to get a delicious non-alcoholic beverage into the hands of those who are truly committed to making it through the entire month.

Starting at 3pm on Fridays until supplies last, each weekend of January, OLIPOP is happily providing direct delivery to your at-home gatherings via Instacart. Available within the hour, they are creating a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Each delivery will include two cans of OLIPOP, encouraging participants to ‘Share a Mocktail in Minutes' while exploring the digestive-friendly and flavorful beverages.

Dates for the “Mocktails in Minutes” offering include January 5-7, 12-14, 19-21, and 26-28th. Each week they will be offering 1,250 cans to those who place orders before they run out. There’s a limit of 2 cans per Instacart account and delivery fees may apply.

To complement the experience, OLIPOP will feature “Oli-vier” The Virtual Sommelier on its site. Users will interact “Oli-vier” as it guides them through non-alcoholic recipes based on their OLIPOP selection and available ingredients at home.

“The playful online tool uses ingredients that people might have around the house, so they’re able to make a mocktail in a pinch, especially when that FOMO might hit,” says Vigilante. “We’re really excited to see people making these simple and delicious mocktails throughout the month and hope we can encourage people to embrace and accomplish their Dry January wellness goals.”

The brand has also partnered with influencers, Gracie Norton and Johnny Drinks, who have curated exclusive OLIPOP mocktail recipes.

“In addition to being a delicious base for mocktails, OLIPOP also provides an added bonus of being low-sugar and high-fiber. Each can of OLIPOP only contains 2-4 grams of sugar, while a traditional can of soda contains around 36 grams,” says Vigilante.

If you’re looking for some instant inspiration, here are a couple easy mocktails you can make in minutes using OLIPOP.
