Excitement is building as nominations for the 76th PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS have been announced. HBO’s TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY garnered 19 nods, including acting nominations for Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, and John Hawkes, and the Max original, HACKS, followed closely with 16 nominations. Both shows, along with LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER (five nominations), THE GILDED AGE (six nominations), and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (four nominations), are available for streaming on Crave. Other notable mentions include THE AMAZING RACE with five nominations, and LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS with two, both available on CTV. The 76th PRIMETIME EMMY® AWARDS airs live on Sept. 15 on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app. 

The oldest golf tournament in the world, THE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP, begins today at Royal Troon, Scotland. TSN showcases coverage of the first and second rounds today and tomorrow at 7 p.m. ET. Live coverage of Saturday’s third round begins at 7 a.m. ET on TSN and CTV, with bonus coverage of featured groups and holes starting at 5:30 a.m. ET on TSN+. The final round on Sunday kicks off at 7 a.m. ET on TSN and CTV. World #1 and reigning MASTERS champion Scottie Scheffler is the favourite to win, with Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, and Collin Morikawa also among the top contenders. Four of the last five OPEN winners were first-time major champions, a stat that points to the tournament’s true star-making potential.
