UPMC Enterprises Highlights Innovative New Projects and Expertise during Demo Day 2024

We recently hosted our annual all-staff showcase event, Demo Day, at UPMC Enterprises, offering leadership and department teams the opportunity to highlight industry experience, innovative projects, and new investments in a series of information sessions created for internal employees. 

The Digital Solutions, Technology Services, MyUPMC, and Translational Sciences teams presented to the UPMC Enterprises organization on a wide range of topics throughout the day including: data analytics, pharmacology basics, and health care investing trends. 

UPMC Enterprises President, Jeanne Cunicelli, welcomed staff to the event, encouraging attendees to ask questions, provide insight, and connect with colleagues. 

Digital Solutions 

• Randall Dye, Strategic Product Manager, provided a synthesis of investment trends. 

• Mary Beth Navarra-Sirio, Vice President of Market Development, discussed one of our latest portfolio investments. 

 Technology Services 

• Deepan C Kamaraj, Director of Analytics and Informatics, showcased how their team uses data to solve problems. 

• Alina Bengert-Lombardi, Lead Product Designer, discussed the importance of design-thinking. 

 Translational Sciences 

• John Lowman, Senior Associate, dove into the world of pharmacology in a two-part session.  

MyUPMC 

• Kristen Perko, Senior Product Manager, and Logan Wantanbe, Product Manager, explained the value of product analytics.  

• Brian Rowe, Senior Product Manager, discussed patient personalization and outreach.   

Demo Day History 

 Demo Day has taken several forms throughout its history, ranging from a two-day, in-person event to an interactive virtual gathering and, most recently, a daylong, in-person seminar. All employees are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and provide their own thoughtful insights into the topics presented.     

The event is planned and executed by a committee which included operations, marketing, and representatives from each presenting department. UPMC Enterprises takes pride in having a “One Enterprises” collaborative approach to their work, celebrating this focus through events like Demo Day.
