We all might find it interesting to stand in rain and even may wish to dance in rain, but when it comes to driving it’s so much complicated.

In our country, heavy rain is always a part of a driver’s life. You may require undivided attention during these extreme weather conditions and be more attentive. Never turn up your radio volume too high or use a mobile phone while driving in the rainy season. Sometimes it’s advisable to not drive at once and stay off the road for a short time till the weather settles down.

Here are some tips that could be useful to you while driving on wet & windy conditions.

Don’t drive fast to reach your destination to avoid the rain. The roads may be slippery and braking effect may adversely affect you. Go, slow guys! someone will surely be waiting for you.

Wipers are our saviours while driving in rain. It’s important to make sure that the wipers are in good conditions. Make sure that the wiper is turned off before the ignition of the vehicle. While strong winds are blowing towards you please slow down the vehicle as even your wiper can help you.

3. Keep your hand at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock position

Never drive your vehicle using a single hand during extremely windy conditions even you are an expert. Keep both hands on the wheel with a firm grip at a 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock hand position. Strong winds are unpredictable and can be strong enough to cause the steering wheel to jerk out of your hands.

It seems really funny to drive on to the water on sideways of roads. Don’t drive through deep water as hitting the water at a certain amount of speed jerk the steering over. There also lies a chance that some sharp particles may be in water which can cause damage to your car. Beware it’s not a boat!

Turn off your lights while driving. It helps to give a clear vision and helps other vehicles to see you. If your car has daytime running lights you still should put them on, so vehicles behind you can see you better.

If you are driving for a long distance then make sure about the routes you are travelling. Listen to the regional news to know about any problems on your route. This will help to preplan your journey thereby avoiding any mishappenings.

We all are leading a busy life and it may not be easy to postpone travelling in extreme conditions. Make sure that your vehicle parts are intact before starting that journey. If visibility becomes too limited never take the risk to drive. It’s all right to be late than never reaching the destination.
