Is it time to think globally?

It was last year at this time that I had the opportunity to be part of the Think Global Institute (TGI).  I remember receiving word that I had been accepted into the program, and I was overwhelmed.  As an entrepreneur, it was exactly what I needed and more!  I had the incredible opportunity to be mentored by two of the finest people in the business community, Steve Haase (CEO, TGI) and Amy Scerra (COO, TGI).

My vision for my business started back in 2002, when I wanted to holistically educate and empower women to make confident financial decisions.  While I was running a successful business, the question was... how do I take my business to the next level?

Steve and Amy not only understood my vision, but they knew how to help me get there.  It required making tough decisions.  It required being vulnerable.  It required being coachable.  But, I was ready!

As a result of my association with TGI, I have:

1) Opened The Women's Financial Wellness Center, LLC on 10/1/2014

2) Clarified the mission and vision                                                                     Mission: To help alleviate financial vulnerability for women                               Vision: To help revolutionize the financial experience for women

3) Attracted local media attention                                                                           The Business Journal, The Freeman, and Fox 6 News

4) Gained a support network and community - and developed friendships

5) Built momentum to do what I love!

6) Helped over 100 women to be positioned for success - with enhanced confidence and changed paradigms

7) Launched two new programs | The Budget Program & Dress for Success on a Budget

8) Presented at two international companies (GE & Brady Corporation)

With a year in review, I am so grateful TGI is headed back to Wisconsin.  The next program will be offered in July.  I am looking forward to giving back to an organization that has given me the support, encouragement and advice to do what I love everyday.
