Stadium Review #5 - UMBC Stadium - Baltimore, MD

UMBC Stadium is the home of the UMBC Men’s and Women’s lacrosse teams. The venue seats 4,500 and opened in 1976. The stadium has also hosted championships for the Northeast Conference in track and field and conference tournaments for the America East Conference in men's and women's lacrosse, as well as tryouts for US Lacrosse's team to compete in the Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships. UMBC Stadium is a great small venue to take in a Division 1 College Lacrosse game. The crowd was ecstatic earlier this afternoon as the Retrievers hosted the River Hawks in an America East contest. The Retrievers and River Hawks traded the lead the entire game and the River Hawks' ended up winning a nailbiter 13-12 in overtime. The Retrievers were led by Ryan Frawley's 6 goals while the River Hawks’ Isaac Bot had 6 goals as well.

I would highly recommend visiting UMBC Stadium if you are ever in Baltimore and are looking to take in a high quality Division 1 lacrosse game as UMBC Stadium is a great venue. Every seat at UMBC Stadium has you up close to the action on the field and there isn’t a bad seat to be had. I will give UMBC Stadium 4.5 out of 5 stars as the small venue was electric and the fans were very passionate and engaged as well. I am looking forward to visiting several other stadiums in Philadelphia, PA later this month. Until then.
