Welcome to the July edition of Power Up! This issue is chock full of our latest and greatest corporate news — everything from our sponsorship of climate contribution projects for the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, our new AI at Scale podcast, and gender inclusivity during the green transition, to our recognition as the most sustainable company in the world by TIME magazine and Statista. Settle in and enjoy!

The upcoming Paris 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympics represent a significant opportunity to showcase the power of collective action for a sustainable future. This year, Paris 2024 has set itself the goal of reducing emissions by 50% compared to previous games, which aligns perfectly with our long-standing dedication to sustainability. Furthermore, all emissions that can't be avoided will be offset by projects designed to bring environmental and social benefits on all five continents.

Along with our subsidiary, EcoAct, Schneider Electric is proud to be an official supporter of these climate contribution projects. We've carefully selected three impactful projects in Senegal, Rwanda, and Vietnam. These initiatives will focus on critical areas like:

𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to combat deforestation and promote biodiversity.

𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 to improve public health and well-being.

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 in rural communities for cleaner energy access.

Schneider Electric recognized as the world’s most sustainable company in 2024 by TIME & Statista

We're excited to share that we've topped TIME and Statista’s list of 500 companies, based on trackable and public commitments to sustainability.

Their methodology considered Scope 1 and 2 emissions, emissions reductions in 2021 and 2022, energy consumption relative to company size, and proportion of renewable energy in a company’s operations.

This recognition demonstrates our performance in delivering impact across all ESG dimensions and how sustainability is closely connected to our business strategy and solutions.
