The UAE launched, in 2019, a Policy for Advanced Industries, that aims to promote industrialization and the application of fourth industrial revolution across all sectors. This strategy: a) encourages businesses to adopt and develop futuristic industries and advanced technologies; b) promotes the competitiveness of local industries on the global level; c) pushes the UAE towards clean and sustainable industries and d) attracts talent and create jobs for the UAE’s citizens. 

The main enablers of the strategy are: a) developing a supportive infrastructure for advanced industrial sectors; b) adopting proactive regulations, laws and governance to achieve leadership in advanced manufacturing across industrial sectors; c) investing in advanced industries and new technologies; d) developing specialised workforce and identifying advanced skills required for industries; and e) promoting industrial research and development.
