Our First Year
When we set out in January 2016 we wanted to offer to the market a truly cost effective, high quality and flexible talent research service. All the time we see new recruitment firms offering the same services and candidates at very similar prices, generally based on a percentage of a candidate’s salary – and we wanted to offer something very different.
The market is now incredibly competitive, and relationships are key. I think most recruiters will agree, if you can fill a job and keep a good relationship with your clients you are on to a winner. So how do you break into a saturated market?
For us, talent research was the answer. We believe we offer the most competitive, cost effective, insight-led research and recruitment service available on the market. That’s a big claim, but with the client list we have built up in our first year, it’s something we can back up.
We now have clients in sectors we had never worked in before, including Higher Education, Publishing and Manufacturing. We can boast to be working with some of the biggest household names across healthcare, FMCG, retail and engineering. This year alone our biggest client saved in excess of £330,000 on recruitment fees compared against a 25% fee margin that a recruitment consultant or head-hunter may have charged.
We are so much more than just a recruitment service, offering real-time insight including talent-pipelining and market insight, the latter including organisational design mapping as well as salary and perception audits. We have mapped nearly 50 companies this year and identified thousands of individuals across multiple sectors, both UK-wide and internationally.
As for our team, we started as two and didn’t expect to add anyone else until 2017 – however given the response from clients both former and new, we were incredibly fortunate to bring the experience of Elaine Tatters on board; Elaine will help build the delivery function over the next few years as our client base grows.
We have much to look forward to in 2017 – a new office, team expansion, and increasing our presence regionally, nationwide and beyond. Happy New Year to all clients, candidates and friends, and we look forward to speaking with you in 2017.
