☀️ TUI’s new Boeing 737-8 ‘Fuerteventura’ takes flight ✈️

We’re happy to announce that our new Boeing 737-8, named ‘Fuerteventura’, has taken to the skies as the flying ambassador for the Canary Islands’ watersports paradise. 🏄♂️

The Counselor for Tourism and Employment of the Canary Islands Government, Jessica De León Verdugo, was the godmother of the naming ceremony. TUI was represented by Sebastian Ebel, Chairman of the Executive Board, Thomas Ellerbeck, Member of the Group Executive Committee, Marco Ciomperlik, Chief Executive Officer of TUI Airline, and Michael Garvens, Managing Director of TUI fly.

With almost 3 million TUI guests visiting the Canary Islands annually, and 500 weekly return flights, Fuerteventura remains our top winter destination for German travellers. This new addition symbolizes our guests’ love for sun, beach, and unique nature all year round. 🌞🌊

Here’s to more sustainable travel with one of the most modern and CO₂ efficient jets in the sky. 🌍

TUI Group CEO Sebastian Ebel and CFO Mathias Kiep reappointed until September 2028 ✅

TUI CEO Sebastian Ebel is set to lead TUI for a further term of office. The contract of CFO Mathias Kiep has also been extended by three years. The new appointments will run until September 2028. 👏

As Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board stated, TUI achieved consistent growth in turnover and earnings, overcoming pandemic-related challenges through the extraordinary efforts of its team, over the past two years. He emphasised TUI's commitment to driving profitable growth and accelerating its transformation to remain a key player in the growing global tourism market. 🌎

Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board: "The tourism sector is healthy and continues to grow faster than the overall economy even after the pandemic. Travel is and will remain a global megatrend for the foreseeable future. The team around Sebastian Ebel is ideally positioned to lead TUI to further profitable growth. Together with all my colleagues on the Supervisory Board, I look forward to continuing our close cooperation with Sebastian Ebel as CEO, Mathias Kiep as CFO, and the entire TUI team.”
