My desk was cleaner, hair was longer...but otherwise still excited!

Today, January 8th, 2019, I am very happy to be celebrating my one year anniversary at DefenseStorm! 

When I first heard about this opportunity, the company was positioned to me as a next generation SIEM.

Hrrrmmm, okaaaay - necessary and important, but not exciting…

Then I was intrigued by the focus on community financial institutions and integration with compliance. Ultimately, I was sold on the passion of my now teammates to protect our banks, credit unions, and related service organizations in a meaningful way.

The struggle is real! We all depend on community financial institutions with our money, data, important details and hold them to the same standards as the big banks. And our banks and credit unions are working hard to keep up. They have to adhere to stringent requirements from a regulatory standpoint and also deal with all the challenges around security…often with less budget and resources. 

But, it is not all bad news!

It has been exciting to witness partnership with new and existing clients as well as being part of conversations to improve status quo in others. The focus on customer success at DefenseStorm is one of the things that I’ve been extremely pleased to see in practice. I’ve learned a lot about what it means to have customer success at the forefront of your mission. We improve because from our clients’ feedback/communication and our team’s dedication to responding, implementing, and fine-tuning. It’s been exciting to see how far we’ve come with regards to integration, reporting, and compliance-related activities just in the last year…with so many more updates on the horizon! It definitely makes me feel excited about selling and representing our solution.

Look forward to many more conversations in my 2nd year…and throughout 2019!
