Millennials make the magic move; from plane rides to property

Australians are hungry for the things they love most and property is always going to be one of them.

Bricks and mortar will be hard to beat over the next 12 months as the economic environment prepares to see inflation, supported by record-low interest rates and pent-up pandemic demand. ABC reported that Australians have cancelled $10billion worth of holidays in 2020, and for first home buyers Sarah and Nathan who were planning on living abroad for a year if COVID-19 didn’t happen - they are no different. Here is the story.

I was really touched by the infectious moment of my clients last week, Sarah and Nathan. They started a joint savings account not long into their relationship, to go and live in the US for a year and pursue their passions of golf and teaching. Whilst I believe that travel is an incredible part of life that should not be missed; they tell me they had planned to spend every last cent they had in doing so.

When COVID hit early in 2020, they begun looking for something better to put their money towards.

“We were having a hard time finding the right land and builder options that we wanted due to such high demand out in the better areas - it was so lucky we found Wealthi, we have saved about $50,000 already on the package,” said Sarah.

With many grants and concessions in place, due to the pandemic that cancelled their trip, the opportunity was endless for the young couple. They have been able to take advantage of the first home buyer concessions and home builder grants, and are now in the process of building a designer home in a sought after area.

I am an eternal optimist; and truly believe that 2020 has brought fruitful opportunities for those willing to seek them out. Sarah and Nathan are a great example of what is possible!
