Instructional Routines

Instructional Routines

This month we’re sharing one research piece that speaks to all Great Minds® curricula. The intentional incorporation of select instructional routines found in Eureka Math²®, PhD Science®, and Wit & Wisdom® help nurture engagement while making student learning visible.

Routines like response techniques, think-pair-share, gallery walks, and more provide students structure not just during one subject, but many. By leveraging the same routines across curricula, the routines become familiar and second nature to students, shortening the time required of teachers to explain a new process to students and keeping precious instructional time focused on helping students build enduring knowledge.

Learn more about the instructional routines found across our curricula in our research piece, Instructional Routines That Support All Learners.

Next month will focus on assessments and analyzing student learning.

Best,

The Great Minds Team
