Employee Spotlight: The New England Revolution Inside Sales Team

Lead by Marc Rogers, members of the New England Revolution Inside Sales Team include: Drew Burrows, Hannah Fowle, Jeremy Nadler, Justin Rosa, and Ethan Tavares.

Tell us about the Inside Sales Team and what responsibilities are associated with the department?

Marc Rogers: Inside Sales is the sales development program for the New England Revolution. Our program is based on teaching the fundamentals of sales. These fundamentals include prospecting, project management, sales process, customer relationship management, and customer service. Our reps are given frequent sales training, exposure to other departments, and leadership development opportunities. This position is the lifeblood of our organization and most of our leaders came through our Inside Sales program.

Inside Sales Representatives are given a full menu of products to sell and provided with lead lists comprised of our most current ticket buyers. In addition, we encourage our reps to prospect their own business and find new ways to engage fans at our games. Gameday Operations is another fun aspect of the job as Inside Sales Reps will get to work a lot of cool events like the Revolution 4v4 Cup & Away Game Watch Parties.

What do you enjoy most about working on the inside sales team?

Drew Burrows: Our inside sales team is an environment where I am able to consistently better myself and my sales skills day in and day out, while seeing results that are directly correlated to my effort. On top of this, I am surrounded by individuals with the same mindset who help to push each other to be better.

Hannah Fowle: The inside sales department with the New England Revolution is a great place to start a career in the sports industry. The company has a motivated group of people which provides a great company culture. My colleagues and managers give us a great place to learn and grow throughout our professional careers.

Jeremy Nadler: What I enjoy most about working on the inside sales team is the environment that supports growth and learning. Being with people that were or are in the same position as me motivates me to be my best every day.

Justin Rosa: I enjoy the team aspect of this role, while the nature of this job is to compete with your coworkers to be the best rep, we still provide support for each other and help our coworkers be the best they can be.

Ethan Tavares: The thing I enjoy most about working on the inside sales team is having the opportunity to create new Revs fans and get past fans back to the stadium. I think our games are such a fantastic and fun experience for families all around New England. The MLS is a growing league, and it feels great knowing that I’m playing a part in its development.

Why did you choose the New England Revolution?

Drew Burrows: I chose the Revolution for a few reasons. First and foremost, after interviewing with Nick and Marc, they were able to describe the fantastic environment here and how driven everyone is within the company. Secondly, my dream has always been to work in sports and soccer is on the verge of a massive explosion. There is no better time and team to start working with!

Hannah Fowle: I chose The New England Revolution because it was a great opportunity. I used to be a soccer player myself. Growing up, I loved coming to Gillette Stadium and creating memories with my friends and family. With the Revolution, I am now able to do that for others.

Jeremy Nadler: I chose the New England Revolution because it was the team I supported growing up and I always wanted to be a part of its upward trajectory. Soccer is a rapidly growing sport in the US and MLS will soon be one of the best leagues in the world.

Justin Rosa: I chose the New England Revolution because I can see the potential for this organization to grow in the MLS and I want to be apart of that change. I also see a place where I can succeed and increase my skills as an individual.

Ethan Tavares: I chose the Revolution because I am a lifelong fan myself and my passion is the game of soccer. I believe that soccer can become a massive success in the United States, and I think the MLS has shown over the years that the market and fans are here and ready to support the sport in this country.

How would you describe the company culture?

Marc Rogers: The culture at the Kraft group is extremely welcoming and collaborative. The emphasis with every conversation I have with leadership is centered around how they can help me succeed. The Revs specifically is filled with passionate people who care about the business, our fans, and growing our brand. Sales specifically can scare a lot of people away but the emphasis here is on healthy competition. Sales is a grind, but when you have the right group of people around you it can be a lot of fun! Aversion to sales is typical for young professionals, but I recommend it to extroverts and introverts a like. Extroverts will love getting to connect with fans and introverts will love the analytical aspect to the sales process.
