DH Work Anniversary: Jacquelyn Petrella

Jackie, congratulations on celebrating your 20th anniversary at DH! We are so grateful for your commitment and everything you have given to this agency over the past two decades.

We interviewed Jackie after 20 years, and here is what she had to say:

Jackie, tell us about a time at DH that you got better. What did you do? What did that unlock for you? 

Getting the opportunity to manage so many different people with different skill sets and ways of working has challenged me to be a better manager and strengthen my own expertise. Helping grow others’ careers and see them flourish has been one of the most rewarding parts of my job.   

Tell us about a time at DH that someone else made you better? What did you do? How did that impact you personally and professionally? 

DH has always been comprised of so many smart, passionate people who have a true desire to make great work. I think being immersed in that for so many years inherently made me better at my own job. There have always been so many people to look up to and learn from; it would be impossible not to enrich your own experience. 

What is your favorite memory at DH? 

My favorite memory and the thing I cherish the most is all the amazing friends I've made here at DH! Not just "work" friends, but true friends that I know will be in my life forever. 

If you could go back in time, what advice would you have given yourself as you were just starting out at DH? 

Enjoy the ride! It'll be hard at times, but it will be so rewarding.
