Developing Goals for your Digital Marketing Strategy!

Developing Goals for your Digital Marketing Strategy!

Fortunately, your efforts to make your social media marketing campaign successful will always be made easier if you set specific goals for you to accomplish. Every social media marketing campaign will be different in its own unique way, but the basic goals of all social media campaigns remains the same regardless of the type of brand or the specific social media networking site.

Therefore, here are three goals that you must strive for with your social media campaign:

Boost recognition

You want your brand and your content to spread like fire across social media. Therefore, your first goal should be exactly that: to boost recognition about your brand.

To do this, you have to make a small number of people aware about your brand and then defeat the challenges like we discussed in the previous step to get people to want to share your content. Your content must be original, visually appealing, relevant, helpful, and entertaining.

If you can do this, and do it consistently, you’ll see more retweets on Twitter and more sharing of your posts on Facebook.

Direct traffic to your website

Your next goal is to ensure that more people visit your social media page. Your social media campaign simply will not succeed if this goal is not met, but it also cannot be met unless if the previous goal of increasing your brand recognition also is.

Your website and social media page should both be as efficient, as compelling, as original, and as beautiful as you can make it. This alone will catch the eye of people and cause them to click the link to your website.

Once more and more people begin viewing your social media page, there will then be a host of new opportunities for you to engage with them. And once you’ve begun to engage with those who are coming to your page, the next step is to make as many of those users as possible loyal to your page. The confirmation that a user has become loyal to your page is for them to become a follower.

Create followers to your page

The more you engage with those who come to your social media page, such as by holding contests and answering their questions personably in the comments sections, will increase the odds of people clicking the ‘follow’ button on your social media page. Your list of followers is essentially the list of users who are loyal to your site and will most frequently engage with you directly. But once someone has begun following your page, you have to also make sure that they continue to follow your page. Immediately reward a new follower either with an e-book, offering them to sign up for your e-mail newsletter, or offering them a chance to enter a contest that has its own reward.

The very fact that you are rewarding users immediately after they begin to follow you will prove to them that you are sincerely grateful for their loyalty. And that means that they’ll be much more likely to stick around. You have to continue to come up with high quality and creative content, obviously, but the point of the matter is that making users

loyal to your brand and building up your base of loyal followers is the ultimate goal of social media marketing.

Now that you have the three primary goals in mind of what your social media marketing campaign needs to achieve, the next thing you need to do is come up with a plan to meet each of these three goals in the order that we have presented them.
